Drops on your storefront

A scheduled drop leads your shop’s page, counting down, and has a page of its own.

Once you schedule a drop, it sits at the top of your shop’s page, above your shelves (just under your introduction on a phone). Drafts never show.

When you’ve scheduled more than one

Your shop’s page leads with one drop: a live one, or else the next to open. Under it, Also coming lists up to three more, soonest first, each leading to its page. Any drops after those still have their pages and still email the people waiting, but your shop’s page doesn’t show them until an earlier drop opens. Drops marks those with Not on your shop’s page yet.

Before it opens

The drop counts down to when it opens, in each visitor’s own time zone. Visitors can choose Remind me to get an email an hour before and another when it opens.

Its page, which Peek inside opens, shows each product’s photo, name and price, with nothing to buy yet. A mystery shows only its teaser photo and hint. A product’s own address leads to the drop’s page until it opens; a mystery’s address leads nowhere, so nobody can guess it.

Once 10 or more people have asked to be reminded, the drop says how many are waiting.

While it’s live

Shop the drop opens its page, where its products can be bought, up to the drop’s limit per order. A checkout with anything from a live drop holds it for 5 minutes, not the usual 30, so someone who wanders off doesn’t keep it from everyone else. Once it has sold 10 or more, it says how many. If it has a closing time, it counts down to that too.

After it’s over

For a week, your shop’s page says it’s over, and how many minutes it took to sell out if it did. Visitors can choose Tell me next time to join your list for the next one.

Pages keep up by themselves

Anyone with your shop’s page or a drop’s page open sees it change as it happens, without reloading: it opens when the countdown ends, closes on time or when it sells out, and once it has sold 10 or more, the number goes up as orders come in. Opening early, ending early or changing the drop in Drops shows straight away too. If you take a drop back to a draft, anyone on its page is taken to your shop’s page.

Its description

The line under its name, such as what’s in it, is the description you write under the drop’s name in Drops. To see its page as shoppers do, choose View its page there.
