Everything your pieces need.

Built for things you make by hand, not things in a warehouse.

  • Stock held at checkout

One of a kind? It sells once.

Give a piece a stock of one. Whoever starts paying first has it held for them, and then it shows as sold out, so nobody pays for a pot that’s already wrapped.

  • Options

    Every glaze, its own stock.

Offer a mug in three glazes or a bowl in two sizes. Each has its own stock and SKU, and its own price when seconds sell for less.

  • Drops

    Kiln day is drop day.

Add the new pieces as private products while they cool, then make them public when you post. Tinbird handles the rush. How drops work

  • Photos, video and 3D

    Show the whole pot.

Photos from every side, a video of it turning on the wheel, or a 3D model buyers can open on their phone.

  • Digital downloads

    Sell what you know, too.

Glaze recipes, throwing tutorials and workshop notes sell as downloads, next to your pots in the same shop.

  • Shipping emails

    Wrapped, posted, tracked.

Mark an order shipped with its tracking number, and your buyer gets an “on its way” email from your shop.

Not yetShipping is one flat rate within your own country for now. Rates by weight, which heavy pieces need, aren’t here yet.

Pottery questions, answered.

How do I sell one-of-a-kind pottery online?
Make each piece its own product with a stock of one and photograph it from every side. Tinbird holds it for whoever starts paying first and marks it sold out once it’s bought, so it can’t be sold twice.
Can I sell seconds for less?
Yes. Add a second as an option with its own price and stock, or list your seconds as products of their own.
How should I price my pottery?
Add up clay, glaze, firing and packaging, then your time at an hourly rate you’d be happy with, and check the total against similar work. With no cut of your sales, the price you set is what you get, less Stripe’s card fee.
How do I ship ceramics safely?
Wrap each piece so nothing touches, fill the box so nothing moves, then put that box inside a bigger one with a couple of inches of padding all round. Add the tracking number when you mark the order shipped, so your buyer can follow it.
Can I sell glaze recipes or tutorials as well?
Yes. Upload the file as a digital product and buyers get a download link by email as soon as they pay. They don’t need an account.
How much does Tinbird cost?
$20 a month, with no cut of your sales and your first 14 days free. Stripe’s usual card fees apply. See pricing
