- When do I get my $10?
- When your friend’s first payment has cleared: fourteen days after they pay, with no refund or dispute. That’s about four weeks after they open their shop. It comes off your next invoice.
- Is it cash?
- No, it’s credit on your Tinbird plan. It comes off your invoices automatically until it’s used up, so there’s nothing to claim.
- Is there a limit?
- You can earn up to $240 in any 12 months. That’s 24 shops, or a whole year of Tinbird.
- Do I need to be paying for Tinbird already?
- No, you can share your link before you publish. Your credit is kept safe and starts coming off your invoices once your own first payment has cleared. Your first month is always paid in full.
- What if my friend forgets to use my link?
- They can add your shop’s name as their referrer any time before they subscribe. A link click is remembered for 30 days, and if they followed more than one link, the last one counts.
- What if they cancel?
- If they cancel during their trial, they’re never charged and the referral doesn’t qualify. If they pay once and then cancel, their payment still clears and you still get your $10.
- What if their payment is refunded?
- If it’s refunded or disputed before it clears, the referral doesn’t count and neither of you gets credit.
- Do I earn when the shops I refer refer others?
- No. You earn for the shops that join through your link, not the ones they bring in. They earn their own $10 for those.
- Can I refer myself?
- No. A shop opened from the same login, or paid for with the same card as yours, doesn’t count.
- Can I game it?
- Don’t be a dick. If we spot any funny business, like fake shops, borrowed cards or bulk sign-ups, we’ll switch referrals off for your account.
- How long does a referral have to qualify?
- Twelve months from when your friend signs up. Plenty of time to build a shop and make a first sale.
