Set up shipping
Post orders at your own price, let buyers pick up for free, or both. Post abroad too.
-
Choose Set up shipping. It’s on Home before your shop opens, on the page of each physical product, and in Settings under Shipping & pickup.
-
Choose Let’s set it up.
-
Tick I’ll post it, They pick it up, or both, then choose Next.
-
If you post, choose what you charge:
- Free shipping: you cover it.
- One price: like
6.00, however many things are in the order. - A price, plus a bit per extra item: like
6.00for the first item and2.00for each one after it.
To make big orders free, turn on Free on big orders and enter the total.
-
If buyers pick up, enter the address and, if you like, when they can come.
-
Choose Save.
You see a summary, with the lines buyers will see on each product’s page. To change any of it later, go to Shipping & pickup in Settings and choose your country, Abroad or Pickup.
What happens next
Buyers see the price under Add to bag, in their bag and at checkout. An order with something
physical in it pays the first-item price, plus the extra-item price for every other thing you
post: with 6.00 and 2.00, three mugs ship for 10.00. Two of the same thing count as two.
Over your free-over total, shipping is free however many things there are. Digital products are
never counted and never pay shipping. Buyers only see what shipping comes to for their order,
not your prices for the first and extra items.
Ship abroad
Buyers outside your country can only order from the places you add, each at its own price.
- Under Shipping & pickup, choose Abroad and turn on Post abroad.
- Choose Add a place, and tick one country or a few that cost the same to post to. Tick Everywhere else to post to every country you haven’t added.
- Choose Done under the countries. Enter the place’s price for the first item and, if you like, for each extra item and a total it’s free over, then choose Add.
Each place saves when you add it. To change a place, choose it in the list. To stop posting there, choose Remove. Removing the last place turns Post abroad off.
Your shop works out which country a buyer is in. Their bag and checkout show the price for there, or, if you don’t post there, say so and list the places you do post to. If you’ve set a support email, they can email you about their country. At checkout, buyers can choose another country you post to, and pay that place’s price. They pay any import duties when it arrives, and you fill in the customs form when you post it. Turning Post abroad off keeps your places for later.
When your shop says shipping is free over a total, on its page and in the strip across the top, it’s the total for where the buyer is. A place with no free-over total shows none.
Let buyers pick up
- Under Shipping & pickup, choose Pickup.
- Enter the address buyers pick up from and, if you like, when they can come.
- Choose Save.
Pickup is free. Each product’s page offers it under what posting costs, and buyers can choose it there or at checkout. Before they order, buyers only see your town; the full address is in their receipt. See hand over a pickup order.
You can offer pickup without posting at all. Buyers anywhere can order, and each product’s page says they pick it up. To start posting, choose your country under Shipping & pickup.
To stop offering pickup while you post, choose Pickup, then Stop offering pickup. To stop posting while you offer pickup, choose your country, then Stop posting, pickup only.
Change your country
Your country, under Country, sets your shop’s currency and where Stripe pays you. You can change it until you connect Stripe; after that it’s fixed, because a Stripe account can’t move country.
- In Settings, go to Country.
- Choose your country.
- Choose Save.
- If your currency changes, confirm the switch. Your prices and shipping move to the new currency with the same amounts.
