Ship an order

Mark an order as shipped, and we’ll email the buyer with their tracking.

  1. In Orders, choose To pack.
  2. Open the order. It lists what to pack and the shipping address.
  3. Choose Mark as shipped.
  4. Add the carrier, tracking number and tracking link, if you have them. They’re optional.
  5. Choose Mark as shipped.

What happens next

We email the buyer that their order is on its way, with the tracking link if you added one. The order shows Shipped and leaves To pack.

Change the tracking

  1. Open the order.
  2. Choose Edit tracking.
  3. Change the details.
  4. Choose Save tracking.

Changes here don’t email the buyer again.

Orders going abroad

An order to another country reminds you to fill in a customs form when you post it. The buyer pays any import duties or taxes when it arrives; checkout tells them so before they pay.

Orders the buyer picks up aren’t shipped: hand over a pickup order instead.

If an order is on hold

Now and then an order is put On hold, for example when a payment doesn’t match the order. It doesn’t show up to pack, and a buyer of digital products has no downloads. The order says what happened, and we let the Tinbird team know.

To settle it, refund the order from its page.
