Group products into collections

Make a group like Gifts or New in, picked by hand or kept up to date by a rule.

  1. In Collections, choose New collection.
  2. Enter a name, like Gifts under $30.
  3. Choose how products get in:
    • Products you pick: you choose them, in your order.
    • Products that match a rule: Tinbird adds and removes them as your shop changes.
  4. Choose Create.
  5. Add products, or set up the rule.
  6. To put it on your storefront, turn on Show on your storefront and choose Save changes.

What happens next

On your storefront, a collection you show is a chip over your shelves: visitors tap it to see just its products. It hides itself while it’s empty. New in and Bestsellers start shown; your own collections start hidden. Only products that are on sale and in your shop show in a collection, not link-only ones.

Set up a rule

A product is in the collection when it meets every condition. Choose Add a condition, choose what to match on, and choose Add. Each condition reads as a line, like Price up to $50; choose it to change it or to remove it. You can match on:

  • Tag, Kind (physical or digital), Price or Option, like a size or colour.
  • New: first on sale in the last so many days.
  • In stock, Last few left or Sold out.
  • Bestseller or Most viewed: your top products over a number of days.

Under Pinned first, pin products to show them at the top. Products under Left out stay out, even when they match.

Choose the order

Under Order, choose Newest first, Best-selling first, Price, low to high or another order. A collection you pick by hand can also keep the order you set. To show only the first few, fill in At most.

Give it a badge

Fill in Badge, like New or Vegan, and its products wear it on their cards. A card shows one badge: sold out first, then the product’s own badge, then the badge of its first collection in your collections list.
