Customers and subscribers
Customers have bought from you. Subscribers asked for your news. Someone can be both.
Customers
Everyone who buys from your shop becomes a customer, and is listed in Customers. Open someone to see every order they’ve placed with you.
Subscribers
Subscribers asked for your news. They join through a sign-up form on your shop, by saying yes when checkout asks whether you can email them your news, or by ticking the box for your news when they ask to be reminded about a drop. A buyer who says no, or doesn’t answer, isn’t subscribed.
Subscribers lists them, with when they joined and the page they signed up on: your front page, a product, a drop, or the checkout of an order. Someone who has also bought from you is marked Also a customer. Open someone to see how they signed up: every time they signed up or left, where and how. Tinbird keeps this so you can show they asked.
Emailing your subscribers
Tinbird doesn’t send newsletters yet. To email your subscribers, export them and use your own email tool: see Export your subscribers.
Leaving
Emails from your shop, like back-in-stock alerts, have a link to stop them. Receipts for orders always go. If someone asks you directly, see Unsubscribe someone.
