Sales tax and your prices
Prices are what buyers pay. Tinbird doesn’t add sales tax, so include any you charge.
What buyers pay
The price you give a product is the price buyers pay at checkout, plus shipping for things you post. Tinbird doesn’t add tax on top, and receipts show the price as you set it.
If you charge sales tax
Whether you need to charge GST, HST, VAT or US sales tax depends on where you are and how much you sell. If you’re registered, include the tax in your prices and pay it to your tax authority yourself, as you would for sales at a market. Your payouts and Orders show what you sold, to help when you file.
If you’re not sure whether you need to register, ask your tax authority or an accountant.
