Add and manage photos

Every photo in your shop is in Media, your products’ and your pages’ alike. Photos can be JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF, up to 20 MB each.

Add photos to a product

1. Open the product from Products.
2. Drop files onto its photos, or choose Upload or Choose from Media.

The first one is its cover, the picture on its card. Drag photos to change their order. They land in Media too.

Upload to Media

1. Open Media.
2. Choose Upload, or drop files onto the page.

Sets group your media: your shop photos, each product’s photos, and sets of your own.

Describe a photo

1. In Media, open the photo.
2. Under Describe it, say what’s in the picture, like “A green soap bar on a slate dish”.

It saves when you click away. The description is read aloud to people who can’t see the photo, and search engines use it too.

Delete media

Before you delete something, Media tells you where it’s used. Something that isn’t shown anywhere can go without changing your shop.
