Manage your plan

Change the card Tinbird charges, see your invoices, sort out a failed payment, or cancel.

Your plan is what you pay Tinbird, charged to a card of yours. It’s separate from your shop’s payments: buyers pay you through Stripe, and that money goes to your bank (see Payouts and fees). Everything here is in Billing, in Settings.

Change your card

  1. In Settings, open Billing.
  2. Next to your card, choose Update.
  3. Enter the new card’s details and choose Save card.

Saving a card charges nothing. Your next charge goes to it.

See or download an invoice

  1. In Settings, open Billing.
  2. Under Invoices, next to the month, choose View.

Each invoice opens on Stripe’s page, where you can download it as a PDF.

Sort out a failed payment

If a charge doesn’t go through, we email you, and Billing shows Payment failed. Stripe tries the card again over the next few days. To pay straight away:

  1. In Billing, change your card if it’s the card’s fault, such as an expired one.
  2. Under Invoices, next to the one marked Due, choose Pay.
  3. Pay on Stripe’s page.

If none of Stripe’s tries work, your subscription ends: your shop stays up, but buyers can’t check out until you subscribe again.

Cancel your subscription

  1. In Settings, open Billing.
  2. Next to your subscription, choose Manage, then Cancel subscription…
  3. Choose Cancel subscription to confirm.

It stays on until the end of the month you’ve paid for, or the end of your free days if you cancel during them, and you’re never charged again. After that your shop stays up, but buyers can’t check out.

Change your mind after cancelling

Before it ends, in Billing, choose Keep my subscription. It carries on as before.

Subscribe again

  1. In Settings, open Billing.
  2. If there’s no card, choose Add a card, enter its details and choose Save card.
  3. Choose Subscribe again.

You’re charged straight away, then monthly, and checkout turns back on.
